Direct Part Marking on Stainless Steel with CO2 Lasers

Many manufacturers now specify direct part marking of components to ensure each piece has a unique – permanent – identity.   The high-contrast text shown on this machined stainless steel part was directly marked with a Synrad sealed CO2 laser using 87 watts of power at a speed of 1 inch per second.
