Job Description
Main Job Purpose:
To work as part of a team or as a lone worker, in the London geographical area, carrying out the full range of duties associated with EHV Primary Substation Inspections at voltages between 11kv and 132kv.
Principal Accountabilities:
1. Inspection & Non Intrusive Diagnostic Testing of all plant and apparatus associated with the Primary Distribution network.
2. Fault location and repair of minor plant defects associated with the Primary Distribution network.
3. Ensure that all staff for which they are responsible work to the DSR and to demonstrate a strong safety culture
4. Take Oil Samples for diagnostic testing from EHV Plant.
5. Use of appropriate IT equipment
6. Immediate supervision of Maintenance/Construction staff within their working party.
7. To be prepared to assist other sections as and when required e.g. organisational changes, system emergencies etc as determined by your skills, knowledge and experience.
Nature and Scope:
The person undertaking this role will play a vital role in the safe and timely completion of the Inspection & Maintenance Programme for the London Hub. The job holder may be required to work at any location within the EDF Energy area.
The successful candidate would be expected to undertake any training required to carry out Main Sub Station Inspections.

• Have Rail Track PTS competency (desirable)
