Maintenance Engineer (FOOD/FMCG)
Job Title: Maintenance Engineer, Electrical, Mechanical, Shift Engineer, Technician.

Area: Essex, Hertfordshire, Middlesex, Bedfordshire, London, South East

Salary: £26,000 - £29,000 + Overtime + Benefits

The company:
Manufacturing a wide range of packaging and cartooning products for the food and drinks market this organisation operates from 7 sites across the UK and employs approximately 700 employees. Working alongside blue chip organisations by providing innovative and bespoke designs through to final manufacturing is a competitive advantage for this £90 million turnover business. As a market leader they will ensure the highest level of quality and also that customer service is maintained throughout the longevity of the projects they work on.

The Maintenance Engineer role:
You will be required to carry out reactive and also planned maintenance on all production and associated plant equipment such as bagging, bottling, packaging, labelling, palletising....... The successful applicant will work a 4 on 4 off shift system and join a team of dedicated electrical and mechanical industrial engineers. This role will lead to some fantastic opportunities for the right candidate to progress their career to a team leader or supervisory role in the medium term future.

Key Skills:
The successful applicant will have strong electrical skills and be comfortable diagnosing mechanically. This is a true multi skilled role and the successful candidate can expect to work on a variety of engineering products. The equipment is fully up to date and will require engineers to constantly learn new technologies and principles on a day to day basis. Typical candidates that have been successful in the past have come from an industrial electrical and mechanical background from either a manufacturing or production environment.
