Job Description

Procurement and Tendering Officer – West Midlands to £20k

Our client is renowned globally as the market leader in materials handling allied to the hazardous materials sector, providing bespoke solutions from concept design through to manufacture and simulated operation prior to delivery, installation and commissioning within customers' facilities worldwide. As a result of continued success and a planned programme of strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and experienced Procurement and Tendering professional to compliment the existing team.

Working as part of a team and reporting directly to the Senior Procurement officer, the successful candidate will become involved in all activities associated with the buying of goods & services to support business operations, and these may include identifying a need and specifying the requirements to fulfil that need, identifying potential suppliers, soliciting bids and proposals, awarding contracts or purchase orders, tracking progress and ensuring compliance through to taking delivery and paying the supplier.

You will work in accordance with Procurement Strategy/Policy and any Operating Procedures and associated Quality Standards (ISO 9000 & ISO 14001), and demonstrate excellent skills in both workload prioritisation and managing your Spend on Goods & Services in line with allocated budgets, and will be proficient in the collation and supply of data that could effect the Company’s trading position e.g. Raw Materials etc.

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you will ideally possess experience gained within an engineering or manufacturing environment, and be conversant with any Statutory Terms and Conditions of Contracts.
