Project Engineer – (Resource Planning) – Leicester to £35k + overtime
Our client is renowned as a market leader in the supply of engineering solutions allied to the Nuclear sector, and as a result of continuing success and a planned program of strategic growth, are now seeking to recruit a number of Project and Planning engineers who are keen to pursue a career in this challenging and specialist market sector.
The successful candidate will be required to work in a Construction and Site Services team to coordinate planned preventative maintenance operations and activities and winter works and also the allocation of resources on site, and will report directly to the Operations and Maintenance Team Leader and to the Project Manager respectively. The role will be based from Leicester although flexibility to undertake occasional travel is required.
To be considered for this challenging and responsible role, the successful candidate will demonstrate Engineering Site Experience, Planning Experience and a good working knowledge of MS Project or equivalent. Additionally you will possess a Safety Passport (minimum) or equivalent, Stock Management experience and a Clean Driving License. It is essential that you be medically fit and either be currently, or prepared to be, a Classified Radiation Worker.
Therefore Nuclear Site Experience would be advantageous, and HNC in Engineering or equivalent (either completed or in the stages of completion), IOSH Managing Safely (minimum) or equivalent and Site Supervision / Management, Risk Assessment and COSHH Assessor qualifications would be distinctly advantageous.
Other responsibilities and duties will include Co-ordinating site resource requirements, providing outage planning and preparation support, covering as a Site Team Leader when required, liaising with the Technical Support Engineers to obtain answers to any technical queries from site and assisting the Operations and Maintenance Team Leader in achieving his responsibilities, whilst carrying out other tasks as specified by Operations and Maintenance Team Leader.
You will follow the appropriate safety and quality management systems and gather information to provide and manage case histories, managing the equipment inventories and overall spares stock holdings and attending project meetings when required.
Additionally you will organise required training for the Site Team and maintain a training records and SQEP records and liaise with the Technical Support Engineers to resolve technical queries.
