Software Engineers – to £36k + benefits - Leicester

Our client is recognized as a market leader in the provision of bespoke integrated solutions to the automated handling sector, and as a result of continued success and a planned programme of strategic growth, are seeking to recruit experienced Electrical and Control Systems Engineers of all levels to compliment their existing team.

Tasked with producing and maintaining state of the art software written in C++ / C# / ASP.net using Visual Studio 2003/2005 running under a Windows Server 2003 o/s, you will additionally demonstrate sound knowledge and experience of OOD using UML techniques, and developing software with relational databases (such as Oracle).

Candidates will be involved in the full system development lifecycle for a range of plant control applications, so this is considerably more than simply a “coding role” and successful candidates will demonstrate a desire to forge a career working as part of a larger team – so communication skills and drive and self motivation are essential requirements.

As a systems integrator, the organisation work closely with its customer to ensure their needs are satisfied through the provision of “best in class” process solutions, and it is therefore essential that candidates be able to demonstrate effective communication, personal planning and organisational skills to meet these customer requirements.

To be considered for one of these exciting positions, you will possess a relevant software engineering qualification and ideally at least 3 years experience in a similar environment, demonstrating knowledge of Crystal Reports, Ajax, C, VB, HTML, Javascript and GUI design skills, with Oracle DB admin skills, Oracle 9.2i and 10g experience proving to be distinctly advantageous.

You will be additionally be responsible for the generation of associated design and test documentation, so experience gained within an ISO9001:2000 environment would also prove beneficial.
