Electrical Design Engineer – Birmingham - to £40k

Our client is renowned as a market leader in the world of Automation and Control, and can demonstrate an outstanding record of growth based on providing consistently high quality bespoke solutions to a diverse range of market sectors.

As a result of continued success and a planned programme of strategic growth, they are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, high calibre and committed Electrical Design Engineer to compliment the established and successful team.

To be considered for this exceptional opportunity, the successful candidate will demonstrate the ability and initiative to manage multiple projects whilst reporting directly to the Design Manager / Automation Manager, with the ability to work in both a team based environment and autonomously on a range of duties and activities that will include Project Engineering/Management, liaison with Clients, Sub-contractors and other Company Divisions, estimating and generating Quotations, developing design specification, including bill of materials in line with complex customer requirements and Electrical Design, including Electrical Schematics, Control Panel GA’s, Cable Block Diagrams, Cable / Termination Schedules for a range of applications.

Skills therefore in Safety Circuit Design, Instrumentation, ATEX / Intrinsically Safe Systems and Pneumatics as well as the use of AutoCad will prove to be distinctly advantageous.

Additionally, you will be responsible for undertaking On-site Panel Surveys, the production of Contract Documentation Packages, On-site commissioning and Instrument Calibration whilst complying with stringent and appropriate QA standards. You will also be required to manage the Control Panel Manufacturing Facility so strong communication and organisational skills are essential for success in this position.
