We have an opportunity for a Draughtsperson / Template Maker to work for our client based in Walsall.

Job Title: Draughtsperson / Template Maker
Skills: Previous experience as a Draughtsperson
Salary: 20k - 25k per annum
Location: Walsall

The company works within the power industry and are involved in tube bending.

The successful candidate will be required to draught engineering drawings on to large floor boards to produce templates. This should enable operatives to bend the tubes in order to fit the template.

Previous experience as a draughtsperson is essentail.

• Preparation and painting of boards prior to drawing.
• Producing full size layouts from engineering drawings.
• Producing full size layouts from sample tubes.
• Modifying drawings to enable bends to be produced.
• Calculation of developed lengths of tubes.
• Working in conjunction with sales staff and bending teams

Experience and Qualifications

Must be able to read engineering drawings and be conversant with metric and imperial dimensions.

A good knowledge of trigonometry is needed

Technical knowledge within the fabrication and welding industries

Hands on experience would be an advantage.

Computer literate.
