Circa £35,000 per annum

Our client is a globally recognised supplier of advanced composites to the automotive, motorsport, aerospace, defence, communications, marine, and science sectors. They have over 20 years experience in creating composite structures and have become a trusted and reliable supplier of innovative technical solutions and high quality, high performance products.

THE ROLE Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving the companies Quality Management. This will include:

• Developing and implementing quality management strategy and plans, including resource, systems, timescales, to support, contribute to, and integrate within, the organisation's long-term strategy. • Developing and maintaining systems to establish standards relating to activities and products. • Developing and maintaining systems to measure performance against established standards. • Liaising and co-operating with quality management and standards bodies (eg BSI, Government Departments, HSE, etc) Manage staff according to company standards (performance reviews, discipline, training, development, etc). • Maintaining and developing the companies Quality Management Systems in line with the Quality Accreditations held or planned (currently ISO 9001 / AS9100 / TS16949 / NADCAP)

THE PERSON You will be educated to HNC level or higher in an engineering related subject, or qualified by experience and have a strong background in Quality Management / Assurance. You will have knowledge of ISO 9001 / AS9100 / TS16949 accreditations and be aware of process and procedures required to maintain these marks, and have an understanding of how to implement these into day to day work.

You will be an excellent communicator with strong management skills, and show a high appreciation of accuracy and attention to detail. You will be a good leader, and be able to work as part of the team or on your own.
