Tasked with maintaining the UK's nuclear deterrent, the Atomic Weapons Establishment is unlike any other organisation. As one of the nation's largest high technology research and development facilities, our scientific and engineering expertise is second-to-none. And the same exacting standards apply to everything we do. We’re currently embarking on a major redevelopment project and are looking for more people to ensure we meet all of our Quality standards.
About the role
You will take the lead in quality control across portfolios and projects – ensuring that appropriate strategies are in place, that quality control arrangements are robust and implemented rigorously and undertaking / supervising quality control activities of projects and suppliers. You will report via the Project Quality Manager for the project, but your overall responsibility is to the Programme Quality Control Manager.
About you
For this role, you should have management experience in a Quality environment, preferably with chartered status. A background in engineering or construction would be ideal. The ability to communicate at all levels and at all stages of the project is essential and you'll be adept at using the flow of information to promote Quality.
