Software Engineer

Role

A Software Engineer is required to work with the existing System Software team. Tasks will range from requirements definition and design for new business to development, coding & integration as required to support existing mission system capability.

Responsibilities

• The Joint Software Support Team requires a Software Engineer to work with the existing development team for the System Software.
• Activities may encompass the entire development life cycle and will range from requirements capture, implementation and integration of requirements to testing and maintenance of the Mission system
• Will be continuously interfacing with the customer on multiple levels and will be expected to respond to technical queries from both customer and ‘home team’ communities
• Undertake operational support of the Mission system and its components


Qualifications/Experience

Essential:
• 2-3 years C++ experience & Visual Basic
• Object Orientated Design, UML, good team player
• Security Clearance required
Desirable:
• Experience in MFC and SQL
• Demonstrable experience in Software
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle phases & practices
• Experience in the design & development of complex systems
• Systems level experience in the integration and test phase of the systems lifecycle
• Hands on programming experience
