Mechanical Maintenance Engineer – Cambridgeshire – c £22,000 pa + Overtime.
Our client a leading Food Manufacturing business, have enjoyed substantial recent growth and investment and the role of Mechanical Technician has been created to ensure that planned preventative maintenance duties are performed and plant and production machinery is operating at optimum levels.
The engineer who takes this role on will have previous experience of operating within the Food Manufacturing industry. This role will be split into two key areas, firstly planned preventative and breakdown maintenance and secondly, more ‘proactive’ engineering work such as improving yields and efficiencies within a fast moving production environment. Crucial to success within this role is the ability to implement innovative solutions to engineering problems. This will involve working independently or as part of a small team and constantly striving to improve production and engineering performance. For example, using your hands-on engineering skills and enquiring mind to push the boundaries of machine performance, constantly searching for improvement and better ways of working. It is expected that the Engineer who takes this role on will be a time-served mechanical engineer, but will posses a solid electrical appreciation. Ref:409
