Lowestoft to host Galloper base

Lowestoft received a boost today with confirmation that Galloper Offshore Wind Farm Ltd will locate its Operations and Maintenance (O&M) base in the town.

The north east Suffolk town is already home to the Greater Gabbard O&M base, which will be adjacent to the new facility in the old fish market.

The new facility will be in place for operating life time of the 504MW wind farm, which will comprise 140 turbines located 27km off the Suffolk coast.

Galloper Offshore Wind Farm, a joint venture with RWE Innogy UK and SSE, signed the arrangement with Associated British Ports.
