Brake bonding adhesive goes water-based

E4 Editorial Staff

Five years in the development, Ciba's latest product is a water-based brake bonding adhesive based on nitrile phenolic resin technology.

The water based resin simplifies storage and transportation because it is inherently non-flammable. From a processing point of view, health risks are minimal when compared to solvent based materials. The new materials are fully compliant with existing worldwide emission requirements, such as those under current EU legislation, and proposed future EU directives.
