Embraer EJets for Virgin Blue

Embraer has announced that the Australian-based Virgin Blue Airlines has ordered 14 EJets to support its expansion in the domestic and regional markets throughout the South Pacific islands.
The deal includes three Embraer 170 and 11 Embraer 190 jets, plus options for six aircraft. This is the first order for Embraer EJets by a scheduled commercial airline in Australia.
As of September 30, 2006, Embraer had delivered 184 E-Jets to customers in Canada, the United States, Ecuador, Panama, Saudi Arabia, Finland, Poland, Italy, Germany, the United Kingdom, India, and Hong Kong.
Virgin Blue and its sister carriers, Pacific Blue and Polynesian Blue, currently operate a fleet of 53 aircraft and fly to 23 Australian destinations and eight international destinations.
