Off to see the Wizcon 7.5

E4 Editorial Staff

PC Soft International has released version 7.5 of Wizcon for Windows and the Internet which combines local and Internet based Scada into a single runtime and development studio.

Wizcon 7.5 is claimed to be the first Scada package to support the recently released OPC 2.0 data access interface and features connectivity to over 150 types of PLCs, RTUs, I/O and other automation equipment. All graphic, trend and alarm displays can be saved as java applets which can be embedded within HTML web pages which can be viewed by local and remote users. When a remote user views pages containing Wizcon information the applet is downloaded and only data changes are transmitted from the server to the browser leading to fast update rates.

The trend displays in a standard browser can be configured to show live data, as it comes from the process, or historical data as it accessible to a remote user.
