Sandvik has received an order worth £1 million, for Esshete 1250

Sandvik Materials Technology has received a new order worth over £1 million, for Esshete 1250 (EN1.4892) steel grade boiler tubes for use at Drax Power Station.

Sandvik has a long history of supply to the power generation industry and deliveries of 1250 have exceeded one million metres, totalling around 4800 tonnes. It has been used successfully for periods of over 170,000 hours, both on baseload and in multi shift operations, where it has survived hundreds of boiler starts and restarts without problems.
