KLA-Tencor announces fiscal 2011 second quarter results

Process control supplier to the semiconductor industry KLA-Tencor has announced operating results for its second quarter of fiscal year 2011, ending 31 December 2010.

The California-based company reported GAAP net income of $185m (£116m) and GAAP earnings per diluted share of $1.09 on revenues of $766m, representing substantial increases both sequentially and year-over-year.
