Owlstone sale generates £2.2m investment

A $3.3m (£2.2m) investment has been secured by nanotechnology company Owlstone through the sale of shares from its US-based business Owlstone Nanotech.

The investment will help to accelerate Owlstone’s product-development programmes with particular focus on the security and defence industries, where the company has been awarded development contracts from the US and UK governments for field-deployable explosive- and chemical-detection systems.
