Redline completes wireless order for oil and gas customer

Redline Communications, a manufacturer of specialised broadband wireless systems, has received and shipped a $2m (£1.2m) order for its industrial wireless system to a customer in the oil and gas sector.

The RDL-3000 wireless range will be deployed in the US to provide high-capacity, high-availability communications between drilling rigs in south Texas and North Dakota, and centralised control offices.

With this order, Redline expects Q2 bookings to at least match those seen in Q1.
