Smartest Energy signs PPA with Vattenfall

Smartest Energy, a purchaser and supplier of electricity from the independent generation sector, has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Sweden’s Vattenfall Wind Power for the power that will be generated from its 41.4MW Edinbane wind farm on the Isle of Skye.
The wind farm, which started generating in the spring, has the capacity to deliver enough electricity to power more than 22,000 homes.
The site consists of 18 Enercon 2.3MW turbines with a maximum turbine height of 99.5m.
