Geneva Motor show highlights battery and hybrid electric cars

Comment

Once the battery packs become a commodity item, think what this could do to flatten peak household power demands. The current(!) 10 - 15KVA feed to a house could reduce to perhaps a 2KVA requirement, with all that entails for grid and generating capacity. All this off the back of an electric car development ! Or vice versa - £5K for a battery is a small proportion of the cost of a house, and could qualify for a tax break in the same way that solar power does now.
