Organic LEDs are known for having a relatively short useful life, on a TV that’s only used one or two hours a day and expected to be upgraded in 5 years that’s not a big deal. A solar cell gets ‘used’ on average 10 or 12 hours a day and to compete with other technologies needs to last 25 to 40 years.
