Well said! When I was at school, (which wasn't that long ago) and when our kids went too, the biggest complaint about maths and science was that it had nothing to do with everyday life! If we don't engage our children and make them see how science plays a big part in all our lives and that it's not just about academia but about the food we eat and the TV they watch and the computers they play on. Make it too dry and there'll be no one going into the sciences at all! We've already got shortages - if they go ahead we'll soon have none!
