Solar cell could turn building materials into generators

just what is needed, but governments will have to make it compulsory on all new builds both domestic and business to do any good. storage of electricity though is a different matter, perhaps hydrogen generation could be used using micro beads or similar. I do remember though some years ago that very large scale fuel cells were being developed, excess electricity generation was used to change the state of specific materials thereby "storing" electricity which was used when the state was changed back. For various reasons the scheme was never completed Perhaps it should be revived.
