If the project is able to realise the claims made, then the project will create the market it requires. The killer for Concorde was the fuel issue, no-one had the brains to put in new engines to make the aircraft more economical so it floundered in wondrous semi-obscurity for years until the Paris crash sealed it's eventual fate. Clearly the challenges are monumental, but as he states, the technology is here today, it is having the combined vision, passion and drive to put it into a production setting by convincing enough investors it is a viable economic project. I say good luck, and hope to see one flying near me soon...
