BAE upgrades part production facilities at fighter jet factory

Comment

Comments on the sad state of what’s left of the UK aircraft industry were not intended to reflect upon the superb Engineers working for Companies like BAE. I have been one. An Engineer working for BAE, that is, not superb, so apologies for any offence caused. They were intended if anything to jab at the donkeys in Government and Industry that “manage” such affairs. And I do mean donkeys in Industry as well. I well recall the sad saga of Royal Ordnance, where the Company that is now BAE, having been effectively given Royal Ordnance by the Government of the day, then required ten times as many senior managers to run the organisation into the ground and close almost all of it as the Civil Service had required to run it as a profitable export-led business. One reason why they are frequently referred to as British Asset strippErs.
