Study suggests people are in favour of wind energy in UK

Comment

Good news to get some grounding on the percentages on public opinion. I have lost count of the number of times I have had conversations with people who feel that they are out of step in their views that wind turbines are OK. They seem surprised to discover that it is OK to say you like them. Maybe this will go some way to give them some confidence that they are actually the norm, not the exception. To answer one of the respondents above: I AM an engineer and I know it works. As I type this I know my county is running on renewables (live web feed says we are generating nearly double demand) and since August we have been around 75% on average powered by renewables. I know this can work, because it IS working..... but we do have to get storage into the mix urgently.
