No. Windfarms are built only because of the massive subsidies we have to pay And they need back up for the 78% of the time they are not generating full capacity (which negates any alleged environmental benefit) Remove the subsidies and no-one would build them Any form of electrical generation which has to rely entirely on subsidy is bad engineering and bad economics
