I do wish you'd use Km/hr so as to give clear International comparisons. The above account is extremely uncritical. Especially it makes no mention of the highly unsatisfactory bodge which is the Old Oak Common idea - given that, right from the start, a proper HS rail connection to Heathrow should be the answer. I am baffled as to how a totally new station linking HS2, Crossrail and Great Western can be inserted in a heavily congested running railway without immense cost and problems.
