IMechE calls on UK government to support electricity storage

There are a number of proven ways of storing energy and the government is already funding research on them, i.e. backing all the horses in the race. There are some informed people who know of all these initiatives but they are not broadcast to the nation generally.One of the most cost effective must be the storage of compressed air in huge balloon containers submerged in the sea off Scotland. Expensive heavy steel compressed air tanks on land are not required.
