Solar investment more popular than wind in 2011, reports say

Comment

Excellent news, we need to weight faster and much greater our energy generation portfolio towards solar, wind and other clean, renewable types. The positive impact of renewable energy exists, of course, but it is offset by the continued growth of sources that should have been abandoned by now. Why they have not been yet can be the subject of another conversation by The Engineer. We know that they will be, just because they are exhaustible and we exhaust them at an increasing rate. As an engineer, I prefer to pay attention to the theory of constraints in what regards our chances of dominating nature. There is no other habitable planet, so we must deal with finite resources, in a smart, innovative, technologically advanced and ethical way. Here is one illustration on why CO2 emissions have continued to grow: http://www.globalcarbonproject.org/carbonbudget/10/files/GCP2011_CarbonBudget2010.pdf
