Schlumberger reports full-year financial results for 2011

Oilfield services company Schlumberger today reported full-year 2011 revenue of $39.54bn (£25.6bn), up from $27.45bn in 2010.

Full-year 2011 income from continuing operations attributable to Schlumberger, excluding charges and credits, was $4.9bn, representing diluted earnings-per-share of $3.66 compared with $2.86 in 2010.

Fourth-quarter 2011 revenue was $10.97bn, a slight increase from $10.23bn in the third quarter of 2011 and $9.07bn in the fourth quarter of 2010.

Income from continuing operations attributable to Schlumberger, excluding charges and credits, was $1.49bn — an increase of 13 per cent sequentially and 28 per cent year on year.
