This week, it concerns the EngineeringUK annual report, which draws attention to the ongoing shortage of people entering engineering, saying that the UK needs to double the number of graduates and apprentices entering the profession to meet the demand of 182,000 new recruits for the sector every year up to 2022. The report also says that A-level students underestimate the average engineering starting salary by 27 per cent. So which of our statements do you think is the biggest stumbling-block to attract students into further engineering studies?
