Ricardo launches Hyboost efficient engine system

The Engineer reports on Hyboost, a high-torque, supercharged but small engine developed by Ricardo, which could improve vehicle efficiency without sacrificing performance

Engineering consultancy Ricardo is leading a TSB-funded consortium to develop Hyboost, a small, but efficient, engine which performs and drives like a much larger one. Stephen Harris spoke to the team about how the system works.
