Energy-management company Schneider Electric and Parkeon, a provider of on-street parking management, have announced the signing of an agreement for the development of an electric-vehicle charging system, integrating energy management and pay-by-space technology.
This agreement will allow the partners to create a commercial and technical offer for pilots on electric vehicles and related charging infrastructures in Europe and North America, starting in 2010.
The solutions are initially aimed at on-street and off-street parking, and other similar applications.
The projects managed within this partnership will enable both organisations to develop solutions and be ready to start installing on-street parking infrastructure for electric-vehicle charging in 2011.
