Airbus receives order from Air Pacific for three A330-200s

Fiji’s national carrier Air Pacific has signed a firm contract to buy three new A330-200 Airbus aircraft to replace its existing fleet of B747s and B767s with newer and more fuel-efficient aircraft.

The A330-200 will be delivered in 2013 and operated from Fiji on trans-Pacific routes to Los Angeles and throughout the Asia-Pacific region to Hong Kong, Australia and New Zealand.

Airbus has recorded more than 1,100 orders for the A330, with more than 800 aircraft currently flying with more than 90 operators worldwide.

In addition to passenger aircraft, the A330 range includes freighter, VIP and military transport/tanker variants.
