Alstom consortium signs high-speed rail contract with ADIF

The consortium comprising Alstom, Electren and CYMI signed a €41.3m (£35.1m) contract with ADIF, a Spanish railway network administrator, to supply traction substations for a section on the Madrid-Levante very high-speed line, which will be 955km in length and run from Madrid to Murcia.

Covering works to be performed on a 239km stretch in eastern Spain between Albacete, Alicante and Valencia, the contract comprises the supply and installation of three traction substations at 2x25kV, 18 autotransformer centres and the remote control of the system, including a four-year maintenance agreement.
