Amarinth pumps for Abu Dhabi

Consolidated Contractors International Company has placed a £500,000 order with Woodbridge, Suffolk-based Amarinth for its API610 VS4 vertical sump pumps

Consolidated Contractors International Company (CCC) has placed a £500,000 order with Woodbridge, Suffolk-based Amarinth for its API610 VS4 vertical sump pumps. The three high alloy vertical sump pumps are to be used in Abu Dhabi Industries’s (GASCO) on-shore oil operations at Habsham in Abu Dhabi.

The pumps will be part of the Habshan Gas Complex Expansion Project, a £500m expansion of the existing Hanshan Gas Complex. The Offshore Associated Gas (OAG) Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) project will process gas brought from the DasIsland facilities for processing at Habshan. The pumps will extract the toxic hydrocarbon liquids from the drainage tanks for recycling or disposal.

The three API pumps are manufactured from a special high alloy to a bespoke design and will be delivered to the site ready for commissioning 34 weeks from order. Nama, who will also be overseeing the commissioning and installation as well as providing first level technical support, will support the pumps in the region.

Oliver Brigginshaw, managing director of Amarinth, said: ‘We are delighted to announce this order which clearly establishes Amarinth as a leading supplier of pumping solutions in the Middle East. We are particularly pleased that once again our API610 pumps have been selected to work within one of the world’s most arduous environments. This order is a further endorsement that organisations in the region now have a viable replacement for the existing Girdlestone pumps that many had come to rely on.’
