Anteon International Corporation has been awarded two blanket purchase agreements (BPA) worth $20 million to support the US Army’s Material Command (AMC) and the Communications and Electronics Command (CECOM).
Under a four-year BPA, Anteon will assist AMC in implementing ‘Lean’ or Toyota Production System practices in AMC facilities including depots, arsenals and ammunition plants to place them at the forefront of innovation and productivity in the US Department of Defence (DoD).
Under a 10-year BPA with the CECOM, Anteon will provide support in the areas of information technology, systems engineering and telecommunications.
This support will reportedly aid CECOM in carrying out its responsibility for advanced integrated information technology systems.
‘These awards recognise that Anteon has the requisite demonstrated capabilities in such areas as information technology, program management, and technology insertion to support the visionary efforts of AMC and CECOM,’ said Joseph M. Kampf, Anteon President and CEO.
He added: ‘Both organisations are aggressively addressing the major challenges related to introducing new technologies, achieving greater program efficiencies, fighting the global war on terrorism and supporting Army Transformation.’
