Automotive research at Bath driven by new appointment

A new Prize Fellow in Automotive Powertrain Systems has been appointed by the University of Bath’s Department of Mechanical Engineering.

Dr Richard Burke will be carrying out research in the University’s Powertrain and Vehicle Research Centre, focused on the characterisation of powertrain systems under dynamic operating conditions.
The main aim of Dr Burke’s research is the reduction of CO2 emissions and fuel consumption through the physical understanding of a wide range of components and the interactions that occur between these components when they are coupled together as a system.
