BFPA sponsor students

The British Fluid Power Association has agreed to sponsor five year-11 students through the Arkwright Scholarship Trust.

The move is designed to help interested children take up engineering as a profession and the students and their schools will benefit from significant cash support for projects and study materials. The scheme will also offer the students work experience during their A-level courses.

The BFPA believes decades of emphasis on academic achievement has harmed vocational careers such as engineering and sees commitments like this as major investments in the future of the engineering industry.
