Boeing and Turkish Airlines finalise 777-300ER order

Boeing and Turkish Airlines have finalised a firm order for 15 777-300ER extended-range aircraft worth $4.7bn (£2.9bn) at list prices.

The agreement, first announced in October as a commitment, also includes options for five additional 777-300ERs.

Turkish Airlines’ fleet currently includes 12 777-300ERs, the first of which Boeing delivered in October 2010. Over the past two years, these aircraft have formed the backbone of the carrier’s long-haul operations.

The latest order will enable Turkish Airlines to continue to serve new destinations worldwide.
