Boralex has signed an agreement to take over nine wind farms with a capacity of 10 megawatts each, in the Windsor region of Ontario, Canada.
For the first time, Boralex will work with Ontario-based Gengrowth in the development of the project.
As part of the Government of Ontario standard offer program, all energy generated by the wind farms will be sold to Ontario Power Authority under 20-year contracts.
Boralex already provides wind energy in France, with an installed capacity of 89MW and another 14MW site under construction.
