Bosch Rexroth is investing around 40 million Euros to double the production capacity of its Pomerode factory in Brazil.

Bosch Rexroth is investing around 40 million Euros to double the production capacity of its Pomerode factory in Brazil which produces hydraulic components and modules.

The company is also planning to raise the number of employees at the facility to around 1,000 by the year 2014.

The expansion will allow the Pomerode plant to also manufacture gear pumps and control blocks for mobile hydraulics and to supply a greater number of customers in the US with products.

Apart from Pomerode, Bosch Rexroth also has a plant in Atibaia in Brazil, as well as nine sales offices. In addition, it has around 80 sales partners there selling its products. At present, it employs around 660 people in Brazil, 360 of these in Pomerode.

Over the past two years, Bosch Rexroth has expanded its production facilities in Slovenia, Hungary and China and has also started work on the construction of a new plant in Turkey.
