Safety equipment supplier Arco is offering a new powered air respirator from 3M which, it says, is highly versatile, easy to use and comfortable - a key factor when encouraging use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
The 3M Versaflo TR-300 powered air respirator has a filter to capture mist, dust and fumes to deliver clean air to wearers working in environments that contain hazardous particles.
Streamlined and lightweight, the equipment is also comfortable to wear for long lengths of time and a downward air inlet enables the user to wear it sitting down as well as on the move. In addition to easy-to-use function indicators, the unit is intelligently powered by a lightweight lithium ion battery that is quick to charge and has no memory effect.
Its safety smart electronic audible and visual alarm will also signal if the device has low battery and low airflow status.
