C-17 contract for Goodrich

Boeing has selected Goodrich Corporation to provide landing gear maintenance for the US Air Force’s (USAF) fleet of C-17 aircraft.

The contract is expected to generate up to $38m in sales over the next three years.

Under the terms of the Boeing contract, Goodrich and The Air Logistics Center at Hill Air Force Base in Ogden, Utah (OO-ALC) will share the workload.

The joint approach is based on a 2002 partnership agreement between Goodrich and the USAF to develop landing gear support capabilities.

The 2002 agreement encompassed a variety of joint workloads including the C-17. The AirLogisticsCenter at Hill Air Force Base manages all of the USAF’s landing gear maintenance requirements; and Goodrich is the original equipment manufacturer of the majority of USAF landing gear systems.
