Cards get smartened up

Flint has launched a new on-line Smart Card Bureau service aimed at process and control applications storing security information on smart or magnetic cards.

Process and industrial control applications storing security or set-up information on Smart or Magnetic cards, can now use custom card designs in quantities from 1-1000, following the launch by Flint Smart of a new on-line Smart Card Bureau service aimed at smaller applications.

Standard contact and contactless smart cards or magnetic cards from Gemplus and Burrell Infocard will be supplied to customers specifications in terms of appearance and electronic configuration. Flint has opened for instant, online quotations. Customers will be able to order online using a credit card or flint account facility, and Flint will send a sample card within four days of order.

On the site, customers will be able to choose the colour of the card, the type of card from the list stocked, add the text in the card format shown, add photographs if required, and also choose a background colour from the 12 shown. Flint also has the ability to create a sample from an originally created file. Alternatively, Flint Smart can offer a card design service. Data for electronic personalisation can be handled by secure email, CD, media discs or in another agreed format.
