The engineering and national press, websites and the jobs market will be the focus of a joint industry readership survey that will uncover the reading habits of engineering media users. The project, endorsed by Design Engineering, is also open to other publishing companies wishing to include their own titles in the survey. The aim of the survey, which has the backing of numerous engineering companies and their advertising agencies, is to create better information about who is reading what. Indeed, it is believed that the survey could lead to a rethink on the cost of advertising space across the industry. The Engineering Council and the Daily Telegraph are just two of the organisations who have expressed an interest in the project.
