Charter International reports fiscal 2010 results

Global engineering group Charter International, which includes welding and cutting company ESAB and applications engineer Howden, has announced its financial results for 2010.

Revenue for the full year was £1,720m, up 3.6 per cent from 2009’s figure of £1,659m.

ESAB increased revenue and adjusted operating profit to £1,158m and £89m, representing an operating margin of 7.7 per cent, up 1.3 percentage points.

Howden achieved revenue and adjusted operating profit of £562m and £68m and an adjusted operating margin of 12.1 per cent, up 0.7 percentage points.
